Speak Up Studio creates exciting and engaging speech and drama and musical theatre programs that build confidence and encourage children to be positive about speaking up. Speak Up programs (based at our home studio in Red Hill, and at 15 primary schools throughout Brisbane) give children the opportunity to make friends, dress up in costumes, develop a love of reading and literature and extend their performance technique in a supportive, non-competitive environment. We help students develop confidence, creativity and communication skills that will help them in school and stay with them for life.

Speech and Drama & Musical Theatre Teachers
You have a strong background in the performing arts, and have gravitated toward education because you believe in the power of drama to positively affect the lives of young people. You have experience teaching speech and drama and/or musical theatre to students in a variety of settings, especially working with students to develop performance items.
Your kind, positive approach to communicating with students and parents reflects your passion for teaching and learning. In your lessons, you find the perfect balance between learning experiences that are on the one hand energetic and silly, and on the other hand, professional and organised.
You are an example to your students and you are always well presented and punctual. Your work both in the classroom, and outside ensures that Speak Up Studio is viewed as a professional organisation by current and prospective parents.
You travel to your various classes through the week, and deliver Speak Up Studio content in an engaging and non-competitive manner. Your high quality work and commitment ensures long term student retention. Your work is valued and you are remunerated not only for the time you spend teaching, but also for time you spend preparing for lessons and following up after lessons.
You have always been an organiser, and have gravitated toward education because you hope to positively effect the lives of young people through your work. You love to be busy. You have experience working in an administration setting, especially responding to enquiries and following up with unpaid accounts.
Your methodical approach to your work ensures that tasks are completed consistently and to a high standard. You make managing in a busy inbox look effortless. You love keeping detailed notes. In your contact with customers, you find the perfect balance between communication that is on the one hand caring and bubbly, and on the other hand, firm and concise. Your work ensures that Speak Up Studio continues to be viewed as a professional organisation by current and prospective parents.
You love the idea of working hard to support a busy education team, on a mission to help kids build confidence. You are willing to step in and lend a hand at events and shows and you share in the student’s success as they grow, learn and perform.

School Holiday Workshop Leaders
You are a creative person with a background in the arts. You love the idea of working with children to share you passion for drama, musical theatre and/ or art and craft. You have a huge amount of energy and a great sense of fun. You aren’t afraid of working hard, being on your feet all day, or getting your hands covered in paint.
You are well presented and punctual. You are able to follow instructions, and do what is needed to get the job done! You are super excited to play games and have fun thought the holidays, and can’t wait to join Speak Up’s amazing team.
You love marketing and see it as both a science and an art. You have experience working in small business, and being involved in all aspects marketing, from writing newsletters to creating graphics. You are excited about the idea of working with a company who knows exactly what they do and why they do it. You believe in the power of arts education.
You are methodical, organised and able to work autonomously. You make version control look effortless. Your world is colourful.
You love the idea of working closely with the Studio Director to develop and implement marketing strategy and content. You are not afraid to try new things and implement new systems as you grow to understand your role.
