Meet our student of the Month (July, 2015)

Each month, Speak Up highlights a nominated student! This can be any one of our fabulous students from our classes. This month we would like to introduce Imogen, a wonderful speech and drama student who takes both group classes and individuals lessons!

From Imogen –

“I absolutely love cats! I really enjoy drama, especially making all sorts of different voices. I always try and make my school class ‘show and tell’ presentations funny. I also enjoy art and dance. My favourite part of Speak Up is playing drama games and pretending to be different characters. I like doing plays with my friends and learning new scripts. I’m proud of how well I’ve been doing in sport and my subjects at school, especially Japanese and English.”

From Devina (Imogen’s mum) –

“Imogen has a warm and generous heart. I’m always finding her skipping and dancing around the house whilst playing with the cats. She loves hanging out with her brother and playing imaginary games or making something in the art studio. Imogen started speech and drama in June 2014 and I was hoping that drama classes would help develop her overall confidence in and outside of the classroom. I love seeing the Speak Up children doing drama plays together and having fun. I like seeing them encourage each other to give it a go and not worry about making mistakes. Imogen had definitely grown in confidence this past year and I’m sure that doing speak up drama has been a big contributing factor.”
