We also used the theme of minecraft to explore building cities and we built some ginormous skyscrapers! Later on Monday, we got out the iPads and filmed ourselves on the greenscreen as super villains and worked on making tiny Pokemon out of polymer clay.

On Tuesday we celebrated all things Frozen with a Let it Go musical theatre workshop, a Frozen craft workshop and a Frozen special effects workshop on the iPads. We also had a great time working with Lego during Lego animation and Lego building competition and we even made a music video to the song, “Everything is Awesome”!

On Wednesday we got into comedy with workshops in clowning, face painting, cartoon drawing, monty python and making silly glove monsters.

On Thursday we got crafty with Harry Potter wands and a filmmaking workshop where we made magic spells and rode on broomsticks! We also did an awesome Broadway musical theatre workshop and another Let it Go workshop and another Lego animation workshop!

On the last day of the workshops we really got dramatic with Mary Poppins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and a Mad Hatters Tea Party. We also got crafty with a Minecraft Zombie paper workshop and a tiny polymer clay workshop, oh and the third and final Lego animation workshop for the week.

James and the Giant Peach

Every afternoon of the workshops we had a big group of eight amazing kids at the studio rehearsing a performance of James and the Giant Peach, which they performed on Friday night. The kids were absolutely brilliant and we are so so proud of them. We will have another play workshop next holidays – keep an eye out for details!
