A little about us

Speak Up Studio creates exciting and engaging Speech and Drama and musical theatre programs that build confidence and encourage children to be positive about speaking up.

We help students develop confidence, creativity and communication skills that will help them in school and stay with them for life.

A joyful place to work

Our office is filled with laughter, Disney music, and cheerful people who are serious about the benefits of performing arts education.

Speak Up Studio hires extraordinary people, and supports them every step of the way. Our leadership approach is about finding inspired people, and giving them a platform to do what they love. We are a growing business, and offer fantastic opportunities for growth or advancement, based on each of our team member’s specific skills and career goals.

Speak Up is the most nurturing and rewarding job that I have ever experienced. It most definitely is Brisbane’s Kindest Drama School. Not only for students, but also for every staff member that comes on board. Cathy helps you identify your strengths and puts together a workload for each staff member that helps them flourish and reach their highest potential! Working with kids is one of the most fulfilling things that you can do, and unlike many other jobs, I often go home with lots of funny and silly stories to tell, feeling energised and content, rather than exhausted and drained!
Our company values are confidence, creativity and communication, and whilst we most definitely deliver these outcomes to our students, what surprised me was that working for this company has helped me become stronger in all of those areas myself! The nurturing and supportive work environment will help you unlock your greatest potential, increase your confidence, and allow you to get back in touch with your most creative self! There are endless benefits to joining Speak Up, and I have only given a snapshot of what it’s like to work here. So, I urge you to come and find out for yourself! If you are kind, playful, and determined, then this is the perfect job for you!

Speech and Drama Teacher

You have a strong background in the performing arts, and have gravitated toward education because you believe in the power of drama to positively affect the lives of young people. Your kind, positive approach to communicating with students and parents reflects your passion for teaching and learning. In your lessons, you find the perfect balance between learning experiences that are on the one hand energetic and silly, and on the other hand, professional and organised.
